Meet Chad

Chad is Coffman’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), a director on the board, and a civil engineering principal in the Spokane office. Chad was appointed to COO in January 2023 and provides executive guidance to Coffman’s business groups, including Human Resources, IT, Marketing, and Business Systems.

In addition to his role as COO, Chad continues to provide leadership in the Spokane office as a civil engineering principal. Chad provides consulting for projects across a wide variety of markets, including K-12 and higher education, retail, commercial, manufacturing, parks, athletic facilities, government, military, airports, healthcare, public welfare, industrial, energy, and housing. Each project presents unique challenges, and Chad approaches every project with a fresh viewpoint by putting himself in the client’s shoes and seeing things from their perspective.

Customer service is a cornerstone of Chad’s leadership style. He strives to help our clients succeed by being responsive to their needs and expectations. Chad approaches each opportunity and every client with the highest level of importance and brings enthusiasm to all projects, whether it’s a parking lot design, a LEED Platinum facility, a battery energy storage system (BESS) development, or a community park.

Chad’s extensive experience with design-build project collaboration involves pull planning, target value design sessions, and creative solutions throughout the life of projects, from initial programming and pre-design, through design and construction. In addition to Chad’s history of successfully serving clients, he is passionate about Coffman’s involvement in the communities we live in and provides leadership for outreach and charitable contributions programs in Spokane.
