Delivering integrated solutions that last beyond the bottom line.

Coffman Engineers promotes and encourages the design and construction of facilities the world needs most. These are facilities that minimize the use of natural resources by maximizing the use of sustainable engineering practices, lessening environmental impact, and optimizing energy consumption. Helping building owners and facility operators identify practical and cost effective system improvements and upgrades that support sustainable facility operation is our goal. We are dedicated to energy efficient systems and committed to applying these practices in all of our projects.

Our team of professionals are experienced with a wide variety of sustainable design criteria and are accustomed to incorporating sustainable design strategies regardless of specific requirements or certifications being pursued.  We have experience with LEED, Evergreen Sustainable Development Criteria, Enterprise Green Communities Criteria, Washington Sustainable Schools Protocol, Built Green Certification, Living Building Challenge, Passive House, and LEED for Homes.

A team highlight is our completion of a $100 million healthcare facility where we performed a life cycle cost analysis to evaluate various energy conserving measures for economic feasibility. As a result, we incorporated ten different energy saving designs and were able to save hundreds of thousands of dollars. The local utility awarded the facility a conservation refund check for $168,000 in rebates.
