50 UN Plaza

50 United Nations Plaza is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is home to U.S. General Services Administration (GSA)’s regional headquarters offices for the Pacific Rim Region. As sub-consultants to Jacobs, the Construction Manager and GSA Owner’s Representative, Coffman provided seismic and structural design review, constructability review and construction monitoring services for this major historic renovation. Work included better seismic load paths, improved ductile detailing of connections to existing elements, strengthening of interconnections between new and existing foundation elements, and final document guidance and site visits to support our client to successfully improve clarity for the Owner.
