Meet Mark

Mark is a fire protection engineering principal in our Bozeman office. Fire protection engineering requires interfacing with a wide variety of disciplines. It involves architectural wall assemblies, civil underground fire mains, mechanical fire dampers, and electrical power circuits for fire alarms. Mark is a valuable member of any design team that provided detailed review to confirm that fire protection design is integrated throughout the project.

Mark has worked on a variety of fuel storage tank facilities and industrial sites from North Dakota to Texas, and with clients from Dow Chemical to Exxon Mobile.

When Enbridge Pipelines decided to construct their 616 mile long pipeline, Mark was selected as a sub-consultant to provide fire protection design services. The project included specialized services including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Calculations and 3D modeling to ensure adequate tank spacing. By providing these visual models, the owner was better able to see the potential high risk areas and adjust the site layout accordingly.
