General Manager, Senior Project Manager
With an impressive portfolio ranging from managing federal contracts to overseeing high profile oil-and-gas projects, Scott’s well-rounded background and decades of project management experience gives him the tools needed to manage Coffman’s most remote office location.
When Coffman was tasked with designing the first DOT-permitted composite-fiberglass gas pipeline, Scott was the natural choice to serve as overall project manager. This complex, multidiscipline project included design and construction management support for new sales, distribution, and process piping as well as the full design and SCADA programming for a complete new production facility – the first of its kind in Southern Kenai Peninsula area. And the project had to be delivered on an extremely tight schedule with no room for extension. Scott tackled this seemingly insurmountable task by relaying on his range of project management methods, strategies, and knowledge to develop an execution plan that met the owner’s needs while allowing for a reasonable design schedule. The project budget and schedule was keep on track through regular (and productive) team meetings, and the project culminated with Coffman staff on site throughout construction and project startup. The result of this extensive design and project management effort was the award of a second, equally significant follow-up project from the same client. Scott’s career is filled with this pattern of repeated project and client success.
