Managing Principal, Structural Engineer
Arvind Nerurkar is the managing principal of the Seattle office. Arvind started his career in the Spokane office, worked in the Anchorage office and helped to establish the Los Angeles office. He has been in the Seattle office for seven years and enjoys calling Seattle home. He looks forward to providing leadership towards our goals of outstanding customer service and professional, high quality multi-discipline consulting services.
Nerurkar served six years in the U.S. Navy before receiving his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering, from Gonzaga University. He is a licensed structural engineer with registration in 21 states. His vast experience of structural analysis and design includes airport terminals, educational, medical facilities, commercial and residential buildings.
His expertise covers a broad area of seismic projects consisting of new construction, performance based design, seismic evaluation, analysis and design of seismic rehabilitation, and project management. Nerurkar is responsible for implementing the seismic rehabilitation program of a national retailer whom has been a client to Coffman Engineers for more than 30 years.
He is affiliated with the organizations American Institute of Steel Construction, Structural Engineer Association of Washington, and Applied Technology Council. He actively participates as a presenter for the International Council for Shopping Centers. Philanthropy also places as a position of importance to Arvind as he donates his time to several non-profit organizations, such as Architects Without Borders.
