Jim Ivers

As the chief financial officer, Jim is responsible for the company’s finance and strategic planning functions including mergers and acquisitions, corporate infrastructure development, and strategies for delivering sustainable and profitable growth.

Jim joined the Coffman team in 2007, and served as the controller and vice president of financial operations before transitioning to his current role. Taking a cue from founder Dave Coffman, he is committed to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit and culture that inspires future leaders.

Jim excels at providing unconventional solutions to complex business challenges that involve multiple stakeholders. Recently, he helped transform healthcare benefits by introducing an innovative Health Savings Account (HSA) matching program for employees. Aimed at increasing individual account contributions, Coffman is one of the few firms in the country to implement this type of program.

Jim’s passion and innovative thinking extend beyond the board room. He serves as the treasurer of InvestEd, an organization that provides immediate financial assistance for more than 16,000 students-in-need throughout the state of Washington.

Jim graduated from Boston College in 2002 with a degree in mathematics and received his masters of business administration and a masters of information systems from Boston University in 2007.
