Coffman Engineers’ Traci Hanegan was part of a panel at Harvard Medical School for their annual Healthcare Symposium.

Traci Hanegan of Coffman’s Spokane office was invited by the Harvard Medical School, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and Nortec Humidity to participate in an interactive panel at the 2017 Healthcare Symposium. Along with other visionary leaders in the industry, she discussed how to create a healthy indoor environment that supports patient healing.

The symposium took place on May 31, 2017, at the Harvard Medical School, and focused on:

  • A systems approach to align the hospital physical environment with best practices in clinical care.
  • Effective and underutilized strategies to improve patient outcomes, reduce financial penalties for adverse patient events, and conserve energy.
  • The role of indoor air hydration in infectious disease transmission.
  • How to decrease non-reimbursable costs from healthcare-associated infections and hospital staff illnesses.
