Sharp Metropolitan Medical Campus

Coffman is part of this integrated design-build healthcare campus project led by McCarthy. The project includes site utility relocations, building retrofits, demolition of older buildings, and new building additions.  This phased project maintains current operations and is projected to be completed by January 1, 2030.

The new building additions include 367,000 sf of new building area and a 193,000 sf remodel of the existing hospital. The development includes a new seven-story 207,000 sf patient tower, two-story 45,000 sf emergency department expansion, a new six-story 86,000 sf patient care, sterile processing department, and a new central energy plant. Coffman is providing fire protection engineering, life safety code consulting, and smoke control design services to verify that a holistic approach to fire life safety (defend-in-place) for the facility is achieved.
