North Idaho College's career technical programs were so popular that they didn’t have enough space and had to turn away students. Coffman solved this problem by designing a $20,000,000, 109,500 sf facility to accommodate the growing programs such as Diesel Technology, Collision Repair, Welding, HVAC, and more. The College is now able to serve more students and waiting lists to get into courses are a thing of the past.
Coffman provided mechanical engineering for the design of the Career Technical Education facility on the North Idaho College Campus. The building includes spaces for welding, diesel, automotive, and collision repair education and classroom instruction. Mechanical systems include specialty exhaust for welding booths and vehicles, compressed air, and emergency plumbing fixtures.
